NAC is a supplement form of L-cysteine, an amino acid needed to support the production of glutathione, the ‘master’ antioxidant.

Designed to offer antioxidant support, NAC is a derivative of the amino acid L-cysteine. L-cysteine is one of the amino acids, along with L-glycine and L-glutamine, that is needed to make and replenish glutathione – the ‘master’ antioxidant. However L-cysteine is often considered to be the rate-limiting step in its production and so NAC can supply the body with bioavailable L-cysteine.

L-cysteine is found in most high-protein foods such as chicken, turkey, yoghurt, cheese and eggs. Not consuming enough L-cysteine rich foods may affect your ability to make glutathione. Therefore people who eat restricted diets may struggle to get enough L-cysteine from their diet.

500mg easy-to-absorb N-Acetyl-L-Cysteine (NAC) per capsule.

L-cysteine is a sulphur containing amino acid and has a strong-sulphur like odour which is completely normal.

It can be taken by vegetarians and vegans who may have a restricted intake of foods naturally high in L-cysteine.

1 capsule of NAC three times daily, on an empty stomach, or as directed.

NAC is hypoallergenic / does not contain any of the 14 major allergens listed in Annex II (1169/2011) of the EU Food Information for Consumers Regulation.
